Install the water butt containers one at a time, each will need a fast flow tab and bung assembling to the before the lid of the container is put into place. Make sure you install the fast flow tube taps on the side of the water butt that is furthest away from the downpipe for better access when filling watering cans.

6. Install the Planter Tray and Planters

Place the planter tray on top of the water butt, this top planter tray has capillary mats which help draw some of the stored rainwater up to the plants. The side planters clip on the available slots around the water butt also using capillary mats the draw the stored water to the plants.

Follow these steps to connect the downpipe diverter:

  • Measure and cut a section of the downpipe to fit the diverter, this should be at least 10cm above the top of the water butt.
